Kumamoto City is implementing the Machiya Utilization Project with the aim of continuously utilizing underutilized townhouses and other buildings and revitalizing the community by utilizing their architectural characteristics and charms and opening them up to the public as a place of community activity and interaction.

This year, the demonstration experiment will be conducted at Tominoyu, a public bathhouse that is currently closed.

Please come and experience this nostalgic space that is old but somehow new.
